On May 5th, the KIDOH [S.O.H.K] US Tour was announced. The tour seemed to have been booming with shares and attendees, but just 10 hours short of his flight, KIDOH and his new agency NEXTLEVEL ran into their own roadblock. The Facebook page released this as their immediate proof of issue.
[For Immediate Release]
“We, Next Level company is really sorry to inform you that Kidoh’s US tour, which was scheduled on 22- 25 of June 2017 , has been cancelled due to following reason (Kidoh – cancel the contract with the company) .”
Due to artists cancellation with Nextlevel, Kidoh, Simo, and Kuro will not be in the US to continue on with the tour. But TeamBunbun(fb.com/OfficialTeambunbun) will still continue on with the events in 4 cities.
The fans expressed not only their sadness, but also their support for KIDOH in response to the cancellation. TeamBunBun decided to not let the fans down and offered not only refunds, but a continuing non-stop party for their attendees! Branding KPOP:Incognito, TeamBunBun describes the event saying, “Kpop:Incognito brings Korean artists (rappers and singers) to different cities across the US to raise awareness and increase exposure for Korean music. We enable KPOP and KHIPHOP fans to experience 4+ hours of nonstop Korean music, with live performances in between. These mini-concerts enables fans (old and new) to enjoy Korean music in a smaller scale for a more intimate setting”. They were able to travel to the 4 cities with LA based producer, rapper and songwriter Nomtom as their feature headliner.
The first stop was at Swayz venue in Dallas. Nomtom had performed in Dallas before, but this time it was without his ex-partner Joe Lee (meetoo) and as a solo artist. This is also where he was able to debut his new track “Get Out” which releases this Friday, July 7th.
Following Dallas, Atlanta had the most hyped crowd of the whole tour. Artists Alan Z, Kandi Reign, and Desuay also came out to open for Nomtom. The crowd was live all the way until 2am and even then, there were still stragglers. The event was so hype in fact, that “KPOP:Incognito Part 2” will take place there again on July 14th of this year!
DC and Los Angeles were the last two stops and both brought very prosperous artists to the limelight. DC had Das Hyuk Kwon and LV while LA had Yun J & Lyrik as well as a surprise performance by Odd Folks. Odd Folks is a new group comprised of Dr. Mumen and As if (Joe Lee) who even got on stage to perform for a short time with Nomtom. The group is still branding and has other active members as well.
KPOP:Incognito will be back for part 2 in Seattle, Washington on July 7th featuring LOKI, KONSOUL, AS IF (Joe Lee) and Nxmtxm. The artists will also be in attendance in Atlanta on the 14th.
