Member Taebin confirms BLK’s disbandment

Yes that is right! Some unfortunate news have come up in regards to BLK. Member Taebin gives fans an update on what is happening.

Through his message, he had revealed that BLK has disbanded. You can check out the full message below:

“Hello, this is Taebin. It has been a while and so I don’t know how to start writing this. It is quite heartbreaking for me to come into this fancafe. I haven’t been in the cafe for a while. I think you have a lot of questions like Why are’t you back? What happened? What about the Makestar?

I have a lot to tell and I have just been waiting for an announcement since the company will be posing an official announcement. However, a lot of time has passed and I realised there is not even more staff member who is able to provide this official statement. So, I decided to do it myself with all the courage I have. 

So, what I am trying to say is that BLK has disbanded. In particular, around August, Jong In and I have left first. The other members have left around early September. The process of leaving was painful. I wasn’t able to sleep without drinking alcohol and I wanted to die as I thought about the times I have practiced (7-8 years) have come to this result. I worry about what my future will hold. Furthermore, I received 5 to 6 direct messages each day that criticize me or saying the money they have put into Makestar isn’t returning. Some even found my KakaoTalk ID and called me at 2am. Many had cursed us as if we have left them without any idea of the situation. At these moments, I just wanted to die. 

I have spent the worst summer of my life. I felt all the sadness and pain from leaving the group. I understand that you didn’t get any information since there was no announcement. They was speculations but I can’t explain our situation to each and every one of you. So I hope I was able to answer your questions through this post. 

One thing for sure is that we did nothing wrong in regards to the disband. I can’t go into detail but we had to disband because of the company’s internal circumstances. We were forced to disband. It took a lot of courage to tell you and it is really over now so i have to accept the truth. 

I will be talking a different path now. Even though it was short, I will remember BLK who were once a small light in my life. I will reassure all the love we got from you, the life before debut in Japan and China, our time in the showcase, the numerous of cake and letters you have sent me during my birthday, our first broadcast, our last broadcast that we didn’t know was our last, a fun KCON and our last OST recording as a whole. These memories will push me to work worker. I will forever live with these thoughts and emotions. 

At this point, I am still not sure what kind of job I should do. I am still worried about if I should sing, enlist in the military or pursue a different career. However, I pray we are able to meet again.”

With all speculations confirmed, it will mean that they group had disbanded after a year of debuting. We hope every member the best for their future and we hope they are able to bounce back from this disband and continue to go down a path that suits them.
