On October 12th, boy group PENTAGON released the MV for their title track, ‘Daisy’. It comes off the group’s 10th mini album, ‘WE:TH’. Check it out down below!
PENTAGON ‘DAISY’ MV:
The track’s lyrics detail the heart-wrenching experience of going past a break-up. The rock genre song reflects the intensity of these feelings commonly felt. Vocally the rich registers of the members, along with deeper raps similarly compliment the tune.
Watching the MV, we see all the members suffering trying to manage their emotions over a broken relationship. This creates for some cinematic and dramatic scenes. These include sets such as one at night outdoors in the rain with a car turned upside-down, a darkly lit red dining room topped with candles and flowers, a cold grey concrete set, and a room planted with flowers but burning through the fire. As the music video progresses, we see the areas start burning and exploding, leading up to a climax and realisation of what has happened between two former lovers. The MV ends with each member collapsing in sadness on the floor, alone. White daisies open, thus signalling a new beginning.
‘WE:TH’ is the first music release from the group without member Jinho who had to enlist in the military. In dedication to him, he has a self-written solo single on the CD copy of the album ‘I’m Here’. All is not to be sad about though as member Yanan returns to the group this comeback following his hiatus since July 2019 due to health issues. Hence the group will promote as 8 members this time round.
PENTAGON‘s 10th mini album, ‘WE:TH’, featuring the title track, ‘Daisy’ is available now.
