Record selling rookie girl group STAYC have confirmed their 1st comeback post-debut! The High-Up Entertainment group dropped the tracklist to their 2nd single album, ‘Staydom’ on March 27th. Check it out down below!
The new single album is set to contain four tracks; ‘So What’ and its instrumental, ‘Does Love Always Hurt Like This?’ and the title track, ‘ASAP’. The backdrop shows the listing written on blue grid paper with bubbly font displaying their group and album name. In a rectangular border lies various comic-like images such as thunderbolts, stars and love hearts. All songs have been produced by the founder of the 2017 created label, Black Eyed Pilseung. The producers are known to have created many of mega girl group TWICE’s most popular hits such as ‘Fancy’, ‘TT’ and ‘Cheer Up’. Not only cementing themselves with the nonet, other popular tracks they have had a hand on include APINK’s Dumhdurum’, CHUNG HA’s ‘Roller Coaster’ and SISTAR’s ‘Touch My Body’.
Combined with the group’s outstanding talent, the sextet’s debut single album, ‘Star to a Young Culture’ which featured the drum and bass title track ‘So Bad’, went on to sell over 34,000 copies, making them the rookie girl group with the highest sales for a single release in 2020. Their November debut marks their return in a speedy four months.
The group have so far dropped a preview concept film for the comeback. Containing vibrant colours, it described love as sweet as chocolate and showed glimpses of the girls dressed in cute preppy outfits. Being in the early stage of the teaser phase, not much is known about the comeback so stay tuned for updates when new images and films get released.
STAYC’s 2nd single album, ‘Staydom’ along with the lead track, ‘ASAP’ is scheduled to drop on April 8th, 6PM KST!
