Re-branded after years of participation in Austin based music festival SXSW as K-Pop Night Out, The KOCCA (Korean Creative Content Agency) returns with even more artists, bringing a colorful new sound to this year’s lineup.
Artists in attendance vary in labels and definitely bring a new feel to the showcase. ‘Korea Spotlight’ will feature much more than just a K-Pop feel, as we are introduced to voices ranging from Soul, Electronic, Pop, and much more. Lee Hi (the Dark Horse of YG) will show off her amazing talent on stage for the event, KARD, Underground artist Hyukoh will also be performing, along with CIFIKA, the melodically intriguing artist with whom he collaborated on his most recent hit “MOMOM”.
If that wasn’t enough for you one of Billboards “2018’s Must Watch Korean Artists”, DPR Live joins the stage to elevate your experience along with Busan rock quartet, Say Sue Me.
The Showcase will be headlined by artist Crush, the youngest and possibly most versatile artist of Amoeba Culture. Most notable for his many collaborations, Crush has worked with fellow ‘Korea Spotlight’ artist DPR Live as well as Dean, Zico and Sik-K. His hits range from Bermuda Triangle, Red Dress and Mommae featuring Jay Park.
This year’s lineup promises not to disappoint as KOCCA brings on such new-age and melodically sensational individuals. Korean music fans will thrive in the versatility of the new ‘Korea Spotlight’ and Officially K-Music will be there to cover all of the action for you. Korea Spotlight will take place at The Belmont on Friday, March 16.
