The Korean Film Festival in Australia (KOFFIA) is bringing Korean films once again to the cinema screens of Australia, and with the theme, “THE MANY FACES OF KOREAN CINEMA”, the festival plans to highlight the many directors, actors and actresses that make up modern Korean film.
This year, KOFFIA will be held in 3 cities along the east coast of Australia, beginning in the city of Brisbane (14th to 18th of August), then Sydney (21st to 29th of August) and to Melbourne (5th to 11th of September).
KOFFIA will be presenting 17 feature-films and many short-films across diverse genres of Korean Cinema, which include latest blockbusters and recent classics, as well as world-renowned award winning films. All the films will feature English subtitles.

Attendees also have a chance to meet the special guests of KOFFIA this year (during the festival in Sydney), which include the writer/directors Yoon Jong Chan, Shin Su Won, Moon Byoung Gon, the producer Lim Chung Geun and actress Kim Kko Bbi.
You can check out the movie line-up below, with the blockbusters ‘Werewolf Boy’ and ‘The Thieves’ to be the opening and closing films respectively.

KOFFIA is organized by the Korean Cultural Office, which is a diplomatic non-profit organization based in Sydney, that acts as the Cultural Ambassador to all things Korean in Australia, and is supported by both the Australian and Korean Government.
