After five long years, SS501 member Heo Young Saeng has made a solo comeback!
Heo Young Saeng‘s comeback title track ‘Even If The World Ends‘ is an emotive ballad which will pull on listeners’ heartstrings. A relatively laid-back instrumental accompaniment paired with soft percussion pushes Heo Young Saeng‘s voice forwards as the focal point of the song. His high, melodic vocal lines are filled with yearning and tinged with regret. ‘Even if the World Ends‘ features acclaimed rapper Mad Clown whose rap verse gives the song an added punch. Mad Clown‘s voice has an edge to it that complements the sweetness of Heo Young Saeng‘s.
‘Even if the World Ends‘ is accompanied by an artistic music video that adds to the beauty of the song. Alternating between colour and black-and-white shots, the male and female actors support the emotion of the song itself. Interesting graphic design details add a dystopian element to the music video; fitting for a song with a title about the end of the world!
