9Muses Releases Promotional Video For New Member Keumjo

To prove that 9Muses is more than just pretty faces, Star Empire Entertainment released a promotional video for their new (probably main) vocalist, Keumjo!

The clip manages to be completely sensual as it shows off her vocal talent; the 1 minute video was a cover of the Fugees’ “Killing Me Softly,” done entirely in English and a cappella style.

While the tempo is massively slowed down, which makes the song much easier to sing for non-native English speakers, the cover was done with a sense of breathlessness and included several instances of vocal flourish, showing that Keumjo has very good control of her voice inside the studio. We’ll see if this translates well to live stages and different styles of music, but it signals that 9Muses could very soon move into a sensual ballad type of song on the back of this new member, if she is at least half as good live as she is in this teaser.

9Muses, I have been well teased. Keumjo, you did indeed kill me softly with this song (1 time).
