The handsome lads of Cross Gene is back with their new music video ‘Play With Me.’
On the first we fans got our first look at the guys concept photos and music video teaser. I was cautiously optimistic. I mean the teaser was promising but how many times have we been lead astray by an awesome teaser to be let down by a not so great music video.

It is good to finally have a Korean release from the guys. They have been actively promoting in Japan and it has been about 5 months since their last release. Oh my, did the guys ever come back in a big way. The growth is obvious from ‘La-Di Da-Di‘ to this song. Both sound wise and overall performance.
In this music video, the guys are in guests in a mental institution like setting, but the use of color plays a role in setting different scenes throughout. From the cage scenes to the group dance blues, whites, and shadows are used well. There are some very interesting costume choices also.
There is the “required” straight jack but what is psych ward without one. Then there is the hair. I think my favorite hair in here is the cross between dreads and Pippy Longstocking it is not something I would think I would find appealing but in K-Pop anything can happen.
