On October 20th, R&B singer CRUSH dropped the MV to his lead single, ‘Let Me Go’ featuring TAEYEON. The track comes off his 4th mini album, ‘With Her’ which was released alongside this title track. Check out the music video down below!
CRUSH FEAT. TAEYEON ‘LET ME GO’ MV:
The lyrics describe the begging of someone to let them go, breaking of a relationship even through the pain both parties have to ultimately endure. Instrumentally, the soft R&B track features a smooth piano melody supported by the harsher but calm tone of the male singer, and sweetness from the Girl’s Generation member.
Watching the MV, it opens with a split screen of a desert with a sole dwelling in the middle of the frame. Whilst one side is relatively brighter, the other contrasts with a cold blue colour scheme. Representing the two people of a relationship, we see the two vocalists walk though the sandy terrain, alone. Facing each other on opposite sides of the building, the two sing their hearts out and remain side by side in frame, but in solitude for the rest of the video before its finale. The final shot parts the singers back to back in the now night landscape.
The soloist’s new mini album contains five tracks, all of which are collaborations with various female artists. Besides TAEYEON, other artists include singer LEE HI, veteran ballad singer LEE SORA, American-Korean rapper YOON MIRAE and soloist BIBI.
CRUSH‘s 4th mini album, ‘With Her’ featuring the title track, ‘Let Me Go’ is available now.
