On October 20th, boy group D-CRUNCH released the MV for their new title track, ‘Across The Universe’. The song comes off the group’s 3rd mini album of the same name that was also dropped on the same day. Check out the music video down below!
D-CRUNCH ‘ACROSS THE UNIVERSE’ MV:
Lyrically, the boys discuss the hardships they face but willingness to hold and endure everything for their lover, even across the universe. The track is intense right from the get go with powerful electronic synths layering for power. Hard rap breaks are supported by subtle and resonant vocal tones before crashing into the beat dropped refrain.
Watching the MV, we see the group dance through various sets as they show off their swagger. Walking through a desert in all white suits, the group wave a black flag with the Chinese character ‘飛’ (pronounced ‘fei’) which means ‘to fly’. The boys sit around a desert refuge in yellow and grey attires, matching the surroundings before interchanging with cool blue suits made with a combination of leather sleeves. As day turns to night, a building illuminates showing a blue and magenta lighting effect reflected on its glass exterior where the MV ends as they stand full of charisma with the flag in hand.
Choreography wise, due to the intensity of the track, the routine is equally ardent. With large and quick movement, the members have hardened expressions to display their attractive visuals, bringing a feast for the eyes in terms of their overall performance.
The mini album contains a total of five tracks including the instrumental to this title song. Member Hyunwoo is currently not participating in this comeback due to an ongoing back injury. Hence the Ai Grand Korea group have returned as eight members. We wish he will be able to recover and come back to the group in his own time.
