First generation idols and K-pop legends H.O.T have announced that they will be reuniting for their first concert in 17 years.
Their last performance together was back in 2001 just before they disbanded.
South Korean concert promoter PRM has confirmed that H.O.T will perform in October at Seoul’s Jamsil Olympic Stadium. The decision to reunite for a concert follows the group’s first public reunion on the MBC variety show ‘Infinite Challenge‘ last February, and the warm fan reception that they received.
H.O.T (which stands for High Five of Teenagers) is considered by many to be the first K-pop boy group. They debuted in 1996 and were active under SM Entertainment until 2001. Their many hits include; ‘Candy’, ‘We Are The Future’, ‘Full of Happiness’ and ‘I Yah!’.
Since they disbanded, all members have remained in the entertainment industry pursuing solo careers, and three members Jang Woo Hyuk, Tony An and Lee Jae Won even formed jtL.

Since the announcement, members of the group have been sharing the group’s logo on Instagram with the hashtag #foreverhot.
It hasn’t yet been revealed whether the group will be releasing new material at the same time as the concert.
