K-EXCLUSIVE: Asia Pop Fest In Melbourne Has Ended With A Huge Success!

Fans of Asian culture all around the world attended Asia Pop Fest in Melbourne. Held at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, the event saw thousands attending for this amazing international event . On the night, there were many events happening, one after the other. As the place got filled with more people, the hype kept building. It started off with a mini K-pop competition!

There were a total of five acts that competed. The crews that competed included Km United, P4pero, Pulse, Hustle and BYS! These groups range from a whole girl crew to a mixed girl and boy crew! It was mesmerizing to watch. Each of them danced to very popular tracks like GFriend‘s ‘Navillera‘, Twice‘s ‘Knock Knock‘, Jay Park’s ‘All I Wanna Do’, CLC’s ‘Hobgloblin’ and BTS’ ‘Fire’. These tracks are known for their powerful dances and these dance crews did not disappoint at all! Rather it had people more hyped for the main stage coming up! All these crews It was announced that the winner will be able to perform on the big stage! It was exciting to see which act had won since all of them were so amazing.

While the judges decide the winning act, there were many exciting competitions and prizes to be won. This had included the Nintendo Switch competition where winners won games ,and also team work trivia where the winners won a mini white gift of chocolate! Finally, the announcement for the K-pop competition was revealed! The winner was BYS! They were the one who performed the amazing choreography for BTS’s ‘Fire’. It had everything that anyone would have wanted in a dance: swag, charisma, sexy and just cool! It was nice to see their performance one more time on the main stage! Soon following this competition, the performances started.

At this main stage, the first performance was from the one and only Charlie Lim. He showed off his talents by planning many instruments like the guitar and the piano. He had also did a rendition of Frank Ocean’s ‘Thinkin’ Bout You’ and Drake’s ‘Hotline Bling’. His voice definitely touched many hearts and had some emotional appeal as well. It was also cute of Charlie to take a selfie with everyone in the audience!

As the sun went down and it grew colder, no one felt it since Nathan Hartono was the next singer on stage! With his first performance track, he had a band playing the drums, keyboard and bass guitar. This managed to get a whole crowd dancing and partying at the front of the stage! Also, props to Nathan’s catching ability as a fan threw a glow stick and he caught it effortlessly. Everyone was just getting more hyped as Ailee’s performance drew closer.

Then the amazing performance by a virtual Japanese Pop Star and vocaloid IA had everyone bopping to the track. IA had also collaborated with vocaloid One where the two showed off their ninja skills! On top of that, they had backup dancers that demonstrated amazing sword choreography and wore very cute outfits!

Lastly, the performance that everyone was waiting for and had everyone chanting her name: it was the one and only Ailee. Even though it had gotten late, Ailee did not disappoint anyone with her performances. She owned that stage and had the audience screaming their hearts out! It was to the point that has Ailee speechless! She had recalled the first time where she came to Australia, specifically Perth, to perform and it wasn’t as huge as this event.  It was these last performances where everyone just kept screaming and screaming for more!

Ailee showed off her incredible strong vocals that took over the hearts of the audience. Especially when she sang her OST in Goblin, ‘I Will Go To You Like First Snow’, ‘Reminiscing‘ and Whitney Houston‘s ‘I Will Always love You‘, it has fans tearing up at the emotion. Ailee had also talked about going to see some native Australian animals!

Ailee had also performed many of her hit tracks including ‘Mind Your Own Business‘, ‘Home‘, ‘No No No‘, ‘Don’t Touch Me‘ and ‘I Will Show You‘. Her high notes definitely have all the audience cheering so loud and with such power. Also she brought everything to her stage, ranging from being cute to being sexy! On top of that, she gave a fierce performance for the audience! Ailee is known for her fan service and today was no exception. She had showed much love to the audience and even had five lucky male fans go up on stage! Ailee was incredible and it was great to see her powerful performance!
