As the final stop on his first solo U.S. tour, KINO visited Los Globos in Los Angeles on January 31st. Titled the I think I think too much Tour, the soloist performed a beautiful mixture of songs from his solo EP, If this is love, I want a refund, and songs from his group, PENTAGON.
The show began with the singer’s EP title track, “Broke My Heart (feat. Lay Bankz).” Continuing the momentum, the next song was another solo song, “Everglow.” Taking a quick pause from his solo tracks, KINO went straight into some high energy tracks from PENTAGON next, with “Call My Name” and “Cerberus.” Perfectly suited for the holiday that’s two weeks away, the singer eased back into his solo music with “Valentine,” then “POSE” and “Skyfall.”
The show was split into separate sections, each highlighting different pieces of KINO. Ballads began in section four: “regretting and overcoming mistakes,” for example, which was preluded by section three: “relaxation-induced anxiety.” Weaving his personality, his mindset, and his emotions into the set, KINO wanted to show his inner and true self to everyone. The singer performed unreleased songs, took moments to interact with the crowd, taking gifts and reading messages, and taking moments to appreciate his team, praising his drummer and guitarist, and even pulling the choreographer for his song “POSE” onstage for a quick reunion. After his performance of “Freaky Love,” he even pulled a fan, Giselle, on stage to dance battle with him. Per the crowd’s choice, she won. “Can I keep your sign for motivation to practice more? Better days are ahead. Next time I am in LA, I will beat her!”

Showing off his versatility and range throughout the night, KINO sang group songs with ease, showed off his dance moves, and even blew the crowd away with his rapping. Songs varied from slower ballad-type songs to upbeat pop songs, and each time, KINO was able to capture the energy of each song with no trouble. Smiling and laughing during happier songs and bringing the mood down by sharing his emotions for slower tracks, KINO showed the audience his true artistry and craft.
By the time the show was reaching its end, both fans and KINO could be seen getting emotional. Considering how big of a milestone a first tour is, it was unsurprising that the end of the tour would evoke extra emotions. “I’m so freaking happy, but I’m so sad this is the last stop of my U.S. tour. I will try my best to come again next year, but promise me you will be here right? I will never forget this beautiful moment. You guys will stay in my heart forever.”
Closing out the concert, KINO performed “Shine+Spring Snow,” PENTAGON’s song from their time on Road to Kingdom. The song was first premiered as a live performance that served as a farewell to member Jinho, who was enlisting at that time. This time, it served as a farewell to the crowd, and a thank you for their support. Though the show title refers to thinking too much, KINO created an experience for his fans that helped eliminate all thoughts, leaving behind just the fun and excitement of seeing a great show. With promises of a return – perhaps solo, or perhaps with his group – KINO gave one final bow before exiting the stage.
Special thank you to KINO’s team for allowing Officially Kmusic to attend! Make sure to head to our Facebook page now to check out all of our photos from the show here.
