Rookie group K.A.R.D has been locked in to perform at the 2017 Summer Sonic Festival in Japan!
Summer Sonic is an annual music festival centred around rock and EDM music, and this year it’s taking place simultaneously in Tokyo and Osaka! K.A.R.D are scheduled to perform on the festival’s Island Stage in Tokyo on August 19, alongside JYP Entertainment‘s up-and-coming rock band Day6. The Island Stage is reserved for Asian artists from outside of Japan, and will also feature performances from Taiwanese singer-songwriter Huiting Chen and DJ #GBOYSWAG.
The festival lineup also features a number of global music heavyweights. Festival goers will be treated to performances from international artists such as Calvin Harris, The Black Eyed Peas, Charlie XCX and the Foo Fighters, as well as acclaimed Japanese acts including Mrs. Green Apple and OLDCODEX.
Considering K.A.R.D are yet to officially debut, performing alongside such widely respected artists is a testament to their talent and promise. Through their pre-debut releases and ‘WILD KARD‘ tour in North America in May this year, K.A.R.D has built a strong fanbase who are sure to support them as they continue to shake up the Kpop industry.
