Topp Dogg fans have another reason to be happy this year! Not only did the rookie group release two good albums this year, “Arario” in January, and “AmadeuS” in June, but it also seems that one of their members will be having a solo debut! Kidoh‘s solo album is scheduled to be released on September 26th, and he’s making sure that the fans are excited for the release.
First, a short teaser was released, and for most fans, this was the first they’d heard of this solo album. It is a short clip, only 17 seconds, and gives nothing away except for the title of the first single, “Taxi on the Phone“. This song also features Sangdo, one of Kidoh’s Topp Dogg band-mates.
A second teaser was released, this one giving fans not only a sample of the song, but a peek at the video itself. Of course we see Kidoh and Sangdo, but also cameos from Lee Guk Joo and Iron. This video looks like it could have some funny moments, the interactions in the taxi cab are something. The song is also smooth and catchy.
I admit I was unprepared for this third teaser. It is highlights of all the songs from this album. Each song has a different vibe, though they all have a decidedly retro sound to them. Each time a new song would start, I was both sad that the old one was ending and excited for the next preview. I can’t pick a favorite, each one is so good and so unique. As a bonus, the video has the promotional photos for the album. Kidoh looks very mature and charismatic in a lot of the photos, and they display a friendship between him and Lee Guk Joo.
