Pastel Music has recently released the music video for Chamsom‘s single, “Rainy Dance.”
Watch it here:
It has a light bouncy melody, which I like. I’ve never heard of this band, and I can’t find any information about them as a group. However, I know that in English, their name translates to, “Sesame and Cotton Candy,” even though Pastel Music put “Chamsom.” Sweet, just like this song and video.
The man opens an umbrella, and turns invisible. We follow his footsteps throughout the video as they change colors. He finally reappears on the boardwalk near the end of the music video, to meet a girl. He offers her his purple umbrella, which she snubs for a man in orange. How cruel. And now, he is left there, alone with his umbrella.
I love how in Korean music, the song or video can be really depressing, and whatever it is (song or video) will be the opposite. Here a guy is, rejected and alone, and I am bobbing my head along to the sweet sounds of his misery.
If you like the song, you can purchase it on iTunes!
