Monsta X’s JooHeon Releases The Fourth Track Titled ‘RAPPIN’ Off His Mixtape, ‘JungJi’

Slowly over the year, JooHeon, the lead rapper in Starship Entertainment’s rookie guy group Monsta X, has been releasing tracks for his first official mixtape, ‘중지 (JungJi)’. Recently, JooHeon added track number four, ‘RAPPIN’, along with a short music video.

In April, Starship teased a new song release. On April 28th, it was revealed that JooHeon was the artist and his first song would be ‘ㄴㄴ(No No)’ featuring Black Nut from ‘Show Me The Money 4’. This song is literally a diss track between the two arguing about idol rappers versus underground rappers. The beat is a simple mix to play behind the lyrics.

In May, the second track was released. ‘Stay Strong’ featured Flowsik this time. A totally different sound, adding in an electric guitar and more rock feel, this flow is more about the struggles with life and how to overcome them.

‘Flower Cafe’ featuring Sam Ock and band mate, I.M., slowed the flow down a bit with a softer feel. His third track that was added in November. This song spoke about taking your girl on a coffee date. Sam Ock added wonderful vocals for the chorus and scatting in the background. This song also got an actual full music video of the three men in the recording studio. The song was also produced by A June and J Beat.

Now in December, before the year ended, JooHeon dropped his fourth track. ‘RAPPIN’ is a harder song, along with a decent amount of language in it. A short music video was released, and based on the locations and styling, it was filmed back during the Monsta X ‘Rush’ promotions. It also showcases a more stern JooHeon and a more mature theme.

You can find all the videos right on StarshipTV’s YouTube channel. I quite like the differences in each track. It shows us all the different sides of JooHeon outside of his Monsta X image.
