Veteran singer Navi has made her return with a wistful music video entitled At The Han . Even if you have never visited South Korea, any Korean music and Korean drama fan has seen the Han River, and once there anything could happen . Now normally it is really happy like a love confession or rekindled romance or it is really sad like a break up or the main character is homeless and aimlessly wandering around Seoul.
I think the following line will really tell you about the song.
“I knew I shouldn’t have come to the Han today, I felt something was wrong. ”
Lets be honest, we all knew it was going to be sad for it is a ballad after all, however this was beyond sad and geared towards depressing. One thing I have always liked about Navi is the fact she seems able to convey her emotion throw her music, in fact she is one of the best. Happy, sad, sexy, mysterious, she can sell it all to the listener. This song is no different and conveys every feeling from the close up solo angles, to the shots of her reminiscing lost love of her boyfriend. But I do have to give it to her for she really knows how to get herself some closure, in fact I think it probably has a practical real world feel that most would do. Sometimes in order to say good bye and to let go you have to do just that. (No spoiling here you’ll have to watch and find out! Teehee!)
Navi wrote the song her self and it is reported that the production of the song took a staggering 6 months, this will be the on her new mini album titled Real Story.
So what do you think of the song and music video. Leave your thoughts and comments below. Be sure to stay with Officially KMusic for the latest in Korean music and news.
