During the press conference for the musical ‘Mamma Mia!’ held on February 23, Girls’ Generation’s maknae sang ABBA’s hit song ‘Thank You For The Music’.

Sophie, as Seohyun is lovingly called by her fans since she was confirmed for the musical with songs from the Swedish pop group ABBA, performed the song with the three men who got invited for Sophie’s wedding in order to find out which one of them is Sophie’s father.
‘Mamma Mia!’ is a rollicking jukebox musical featuring some 22 songs of Swedish pop group ABBA. British playwright Catherine Johnson weaved the tale of Donna and her daughter Sophie living on a Greek Island from ABBA’s music.
The hit West End musical first arrived in Korea in 2004 and it has been one of Korean’s favorite musicals thanks to its joyous music and touching plot revolving around a mother-daughter relationship and friendships of middle-aged women.
Mark Whittemore, international manager of ‘Mamma Mia!’, said he is excited to bring the show back to Korea.
I am so proud of Sophie (Seohyun)! To perform in this musical has always been her dream and she did an amazing job singing ‘Thank You For The Music’.
