Taeyeon On Yoo He Yeol’s Sketchbook

The leader of Girls’ Generation and solo artist, Taeyeon, appeared on ‘Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook‘ on February 19 to promote the new songs from her debut album.

Now relax and let Taeyeon fill your soul with her amazing voice as she sings ‘Rain’, ‘Gemini’ and ‘I’ along with her interview with the host.

On the program, one of the questions was how she came to be a singer and she responded, ‘I personally auditioned for SM Entertainment.  It was an audition through the Best Youth’s selection contest, and there, I was chosen for best singing. I was in second grade at the time. When I first prepared to be a singer, I had no idea that I would be in a girl group like Girls’ Generation.  I was only of the thought that first I should get into an agency.’

Another question was about her dream as a singer and she relayed that it was to continue singing in a healthy state so that it was not hard for her even she was ill or grew old.

‘This is your first time on this show as a solo artist and not as part of Girls’ Generation subunit TaeTiSeo,’ Yoo Hee Yeol says.
Taeyeon replied openly, ‘I’m very nervous. Because everyone is quietly all looking at me, it’s very overwhelming and nerve-racking.’

Taeyeon also talked about her camera fear,  ‘I have a fear of the camera.  I can’t think of anything to say when there’s a camera.  For this album, I had no chance to promote [on air], but because it was ‘Sketchbook,’ I wanted to come out.  I felt like if it were ‘Sketchbook,’ a lot of people would focus and listen to my song.’

With aegyo, she added, ‘I wanted to see Hee Yeol oppa,” so the MC hilariously replied, “If you’re a woman, you definitely would want to.’ The response made everyone laugh.  

Taeyeon is just too cute and she looked so much like a nervous pixie at the start but she started relaxing bit by bit! I am proud of her and I love her new album.
