This band is rather hard to find, due to the fact that their name is K’Pop, which stands for ‘K-Population.’ They were a five piece boy band composed of lead singer Young Won, singer Woo Hyun, singer and rapper, Yoo Bin, group leader and main rapper, Joo Min, as well as maknae and rapper, Dong Hwa. There are two artists that inspired the members most and they were H.O.T and Seotaiji.
They debuted in 2000 with their single, “0.5” They went on to release “Shadow” and “Game,” but failed to gain much popularity from their first album, “K’Pop.”
As they came back, they released a second album, “CU @ K-Pop 2,” and the two singles from that album,”Youth” and “Mirage,” increased their popularity as they participated in many broadcast activities.
Come the third album, “Memories” in 2004, and the title single, “Scent of Memory” topped charts. Sadly, they stopped promotions after they dwindled down to a duo due to mandatory military service, and decided to disband.
Take a look at some of their music videos, plus a live performance from “Music Camp” below!
