Dal Shabet’s Jiyul in Tears over the Judge’s Criticism of her Dish

On ‘Master Chef Korea Celebrity,’ Dal Shabet‘s Jiyul could not hold back her tears.

On the show the contestants were asked to make a noodle dish for the first challenge. To make fried noodles, Jiyul took chicken, various vegetables, and rice noodles. She nervously brought the dish to the judges, which looked delicious. However, when the judges tasted the dish, they frowned.

“The dish looks very neat, and it fits Jiyul’s image very well. But I think you messed up the spices, it’s rather sweet. If you fix that, you’ll be able to be a good cook,” Judge No Hee Young stated. Jiyul immediately began to cry when she heard the criticism towards her dish. Everyone, especially Super Junior-M‘s Henry, who was waiting to be judged right next to her, was shocked by her tears.

Jiyul explained her sudden outburst, “I suddenly remembered my mom. To prepare for this show, I went home for a week, since I can’t prepare cooking while in the dorms. I didn’t know what to make, and my mom prepared all the ingredients for me because I was so tired and busy. But all I did was just yell at her. I feel so terrible.”

Unfortunately, Jiyul was the first contestant to be eliminated from the show yet in the end she did not lose her smile. Taking off her apron she strongly said, “I learned a lot of things.”
