D.O from EXO enlisted on July 1st, to the sadness of EXO-Ls and his groupmates. The rest of his members sent him off and took many photos with him – even Lay flew from China to Korea to send D.O off. The reason that D.O is enlisting early is so that he can come back in two years just in time to film his movie. The third instalment of the ‘Along With the Gods‘ franchise stars D.O, and filming will commence in 2021. Hence, he is enlisting now. D.O is the second member to enlist. Xiumin enlisted early this year. EXO-Ls will miss D.O a lot and wish him a speedy and healthy return!
On the same day of his enlistment, D.O released his first solo song since his debut for SM STATION 3 called ‘That’s Okay‘. Check it out below!
‘That’s Okay’ MV:
The MV is animated in black and white with minimal colour. It features a figure – probably D.O – as he packs. He seems to care especially well for a wilted cactus. As he watches the sky, the cactus slowly starts to grow and stand strong. The figure continues his daily routine. By the end of the MV, the cactus has even grown flowers. The figure watches on happily at the cactus. The song showcases D.O‘s melodic and smooth vocals that he is famous for.
