BigBang has given you some appetizers in the form of singles “Loser” and “BaeBae,” now make room for your main course meal with their latest music video release, “Bang Bang Bang!” The track alone is enough to get you out of your seat from start to finish, but the music video may be the reason you would want to invest in a pacemaker.
I love the music video! It is just the perfect party anthem and really boosts your spirits, after a heavy track like “Loser” specifically. To think about it, “Loser” is that track you listen to when you break up with someone and you’re grieving, and it seems like there is no end, but then here comes “Bang Bang Bang.”
In the music video you are introduced to Taeyang as he rides a military vehicle while also showing off his incredible moves, with the Kwon twins and the rest of YG dancers as his personal army. T.O.P is literally a space cowboy who goes beyond gravity. Seungri rises from the ground with his army of the undead, and you then see all the members singing and jamming to their hook “Bang Bang Bang” with their “Made” logo in the back.
In the second set, you see Daesung in a cage with a the female dancers who show impressive ballet skills as well as a similar haircut as Daesung himself. And last, but certainly not least, the kingpin and the ranger himself, G-Dragon, as he has a BDSM-style woman as his personal dog, complete with a choker and collar. He wears a red-sequined blazer that captures your attention.
The video features the boys riding their vehicle as if they are leading a revolution, which leads to a whacked-out all white party, and unleashing their inner beasts!
“Bang Bang Bang” has that “Fantastic Baby” vibe, but is more like after the revolution or before it, in many parts it’s more mature in content but still holds the same amount of hype. This is “THE” song to listen to after a break up, because you can see yourself walking into a club or an event like you’re back from the dead, and you have this smug look and this swag-like persona that kills. The electric mix over an intense hip-hop sound will definitely have you dancing in the streets.
The music video for “WE LIKE 2 PARTY” will be unveiled on Friday June 5th, just in time for the weekend. Stay tuned for more details!
