12-member girl group, Cosmic Girls, are already teasing fans for their upcoming debut this late February with releasing their first group photo on their official page and various social networking site accounts.
Cosmic Girls was formed through the partnership between Korean agency Starship Entertainment (house to many widely known idol groups such as SISTAR, Boyfriend, MONSTA X, and many others) and Chinese agency Yue Hua Entertainment (that has been reported to be advancing into the Korean entertainment’s sphere).
In addition, the group consists of four sub-units, namely: ‘Wonder Unit’ composed of members Cheng Xiao, Dayoung and Bona; ‘Joy Unit’ with members Xuan Yi, Eunseo and Yeorum; ‘Sweet Unit’ with members SeolA, Soobin and EXY; and lastly, ‘Natural Unit’ with members Mei Qi, Luda and Dawon. All of the girls are from ages 16 to 21, nine of whom are Korean and three are Chinese.
Some of the girls have already made various appearances in the past few years, and since their formation’s public announcement, they have been teasing fans with an abundance of photo teasers and glimpses of the girls through their accounts. Their promotion strategy has garnered great attention from anticipating fans, leaving many excited for the girls’ official debut this month.
