Kim Hyun Joong, one of the famous Korean F4, singer, actor, composer, great dancer, member of SS501. Those are the facts that I know about Kim Hyun Joong.

The strange part is following, capture this.

The story is so well-known; he dated an unknown girl for two years and the relationship got put in the public eye when his girlfriend was admitted into the hospital for two weeks because Hyun Joong was physically abusing her in various occasions.

This is the point where all the drama starts. She filed a lawsuit against him for domestic violence, and later when he admitted that he hit her once because they were arguing and emotions from both parties sprang out of control, he apologized for his actions deeply and paid the fine of 5 million won to his ex-girlfriend. The supposed victim then took all  back the charges because of her good will and manners.

Case closed.

Now however, we come to late February of 2015.

After all the things got settled, the fans and the media forgot about this whole thing and moved on, when we were all surprised as we came across shocking news revealed by Dispatch. His former girlfriend, the one that accused him and brought him to court, is pregnant with his child and the two of them are planning the wedding. I can only imagine that all of your reactions mirrored mine.

I was shocked and confused at the same time and literally going like; “Oh my god what did I just read!”

First I was thinking that this couldn’t be even somewhat true. I could imagine both of them having more than enough reasons to no longer even think about dating one an other, let alone convince a child together. Why would she meet with the person who physically abused her in the past? Why would he even consider to meet this girl again after all the things she made him go through publicly?

KeyEast, the company that represents Kim Hyun Joong released official statement on February 23rd giving the new sequence to this real life drama.

“An agreement was reached between Kim Hyun Joong and Miss Choi regarding the assault issue last September. It is true that they met up afterwards, but at the end of last year, they made a mutual decision to break up.” They add, “Soon afterwards (early January this year), Miss Choi informed Kim Hyun Joong that she is pregnant. To this, Kim Hyun Joong and his parents and Miss Choi and her parents communicated multiple times via phone calls and face-to-face meetings. They agreed on a hospital for Miss Choi to have her pregnancy status re-examined as well as receive prenatal care. However, Miss Choi refused this and now cannot be contacted.”

They also state, “Yesterday (February 22), Kim Hyun Joong contacted Miss Choi again to confirm the pregnancy status, but so far, he hasn’t been able to receive an answer,” and insist that the article saying that the parents are meeting up to discuss possible marriage is not true. “Kim Hyun Joong relays that should Miss Choi’s pregnancy be confirmed, he will take responsibility for the pregnancy.”

The newest update that came today and it is confirmation of her pregnancy from her lawyer.

According to media outlet Sports Seoul, they were able to score a phone interview with Miss Choi‘s lawyer Sun Jong Moon. The lawyer stated over the phone, “It’s true that Miss Choi is pregnant. It’s also true that Kim Hyun Joong is the father.”

“Miss Choi has been having a tough time with her pregnancy being revealed to the world; she is currently visiting clinics and getting rest and stability,” the lawyer added.

The lawyer also said he has in possession plenty of evidence to confirm Miss Choi’s pregnancy. Since Kim Hyun Joong’s side had mentioned that they could not get in contact with Miss Choi at all when they had asked to confirm her pregnancy, it sounded as if she had been hiding out to conceal the truth. In regards to this, her lawyer commented, “It is not true that she’s hiding out. After she notified them of her pregnancy, she met with Kim Hyun Joong’s side even until recently. She contacted them and met with them.

Let’s all  hope they can set aside their differences to take a good look at their future, will that be together or not, and focus solely on their upcoming child’s life.
