Psy looks poised to blow up the charts again! In his most recent release “Hangover,” it was revealed that he would be releasing a new song called “Daddy” sometime this summer. Word has it that we’re about to have that day, as sources at YG say that Psy has started filming the video on the 28th of July!
There’s no word yet on the plot of the video, however there is a little information available about the song. The source indicated that the song was “a fast-tempo, upbeat song that goes well with summer, the {video} will also carry that theme.” Additionally, the video is being shot all around Korea, so filming and production is expected to take longer than normal.
Despite the overwhelming positive response to “Hangover”, it was not Psy’s official comeback. “Hangover” has over 107 million views since its release just over a month ago, despite not being promoted at all. “Daddy” is actually his billed as his comeback, and because of this is getting a lot of attention. If his current performance is any indication of his potential, the sky is the limit for Psy in terms of global popularity.
The rumor is that the video is set to be released in the month of August. Stay tuned in to Officially KMusic for updates on this impending release and all others!
