LONGGUO aka Kim Yongguk, a former member of project group JBJ, has made his first return to the K-pop scene with his solo track ‘CLOVER‘ after JBJ‘s disbandment in April. ‘CLOVER‘, which features rapper Yoonmirae, was released as a digital single on June 13th.

‘CLOVER‘ is a mid-tempo track with the simplistic instrumental sounds focusing mainly on the catchy beat. This beautifully highlights the melody, which came to life with LONGGUO‘s sweet voice. LONGGUO obviously did a fantastic job in singing the not-so-easy song. The way he transitioned into and out of falsettos is especially impressive.
The music video for ‘CLOVER‘ would probably be able to make it into a list of the most aesthetic music videos of all time. The artistry of the MV is mind-blowing. It made use of soft colours and a slight blurriness to produce a dreamy atmosphere. LONGGUO‘s cat Rcy also made a special appearance in the MV.
Following the release of the music video, LONGGUO uploaded a cheer guide video, where he personally demonstrates the official fan chant of ‘CLOVER‘ for fans.
