A while ago, a transgender woman, A, claimed she was mistreated by a male idol who had joined an existing group back in November, claiming they had lived together and engaged in sexual relations. In response, Mr.Mr‘s agency, Winning Insight, explained that it was indeed Hon, but that he had only been friends with A and had not taken advantage of her. She later apologized and said the post was not true. Now, however, Hon has come to the conclusion that it’s best if he leaves the group.
He apologized to his fans on his Fancafe, saying “Hello. I am Yoo Seungjoon. Firstly, I would like to apologize for greeting on an unfortunate day. Also, with nothing but an uneasy heart I would like to personally convey my apologies once again for causing inconvenience through these embarrassing words. I am sorry for causing so much worry and disappointment over this controversy, and I have gained a lot of strength through the cheers from MISOs. Thank you so much.”
Hon explained,”Even though it’s true that I was close with the said party, but the content of the post saying that I had relations working as a host-bar, the monetary issues, and the video that existed with the said lover is what I want to clarify that it is actually not true. The post was written while intoxicated, and when she read the post again after a few hours, she felt that she have made a mistake and gave me a call. Since she wrote it in her personal space, I thought it wouldn’t be a problem so I told her not to worry before ending the call. But the post was being captured and was gradually being spread as a controversy.”
Hon continued , revealig his story with A, “We are good friends to the extent that I was even there with her on the day she received treatment because she wanted to live her life as a woman. I have since been careless as I started being a singer, so I can understand how unfair it must have been for her to not get in contact with me. I think that it would be best that MISOs, who were worried and who have cheered me on to hear the confirmation from myself that the person mentioned in the post was not me. I have no intention of putting charges on an old friend at all. I don’t even think that the other party has ruined my life. It would be embarrassing if the content of the post was true, but I didn’t live my life to be that embarrassed.”
At last, he announced his official withdraw, saying “However, I think it is true that to this day I have scarred the image of Mr.Mr. Thereupon, I have decided to withdraw myself out from Mr.Mr. Each and every one of the members of Mr.Mr are praiseworthy friends. They are like my trusted family friends who were worried about this more than anybody else. It’s because of the members that I will take my leave from Mr.Mr with a thought that I probably have inflicted hurt to them. I hope that I won’t be causing anymore damages to Mr.Mr. Please continue your sincere support to Mr.Mr. MISOs, I sincerely love you and thank you.”
His label also reported, “Our label and the Mr.Mr members have decided to follow Hon’s decision. We will not stop our support and encouragement so Hon can start anew. We’re sincerely sorry for worrying our fans, and please support Hon and MR.MR members after this difficult decision.”
Are you sad that Hon’s leaving? Let’s wish him the best!
