On June 17th, NATURE made their comeback with their 3rd single album, ‘Nature World: Code M’. Alongside the album, the group released their title track MV for ‘Girls‘. Check it out below!
NATURE ‘GIRLS’ MV:
The song’s lyrics describe the feelings of a girl’s pure innocent feelings of love and how she is worried her purity might be used against her. The track itself introduces itself with a strong synth beat drop before moving towards sparser but equally powerfully beat verses. The beat drops in the chorus then consist of the members short cooes to evoke an eerie vibe. The MV then depicts the duality of the purity and destruction of love. The girls are in all white dresses, at first sitting together, however over time, bad things start to happen. As blood is spilled, and the members’ sanity start declining with hallucinations, this leads to the potential killing of the girls through a stab with scissors, and a swinging axe.
This concept is a departure from the group’s previous bright and cheerful sound in releases such as ‘I’m So Pretty’ and ‘Oopsie (My Bad)’. Opting for an EDM dance track, the group pulls the concept off well, and people will be looking forward to the group’s next release.
Just a note, NATURE consists of a 9 members, however only 6 are present in the choreographed portions of the MV. Member Aurora is currently in China after participating in idol survival program, ‘Youth With You’. But, she is currently unable to return to Korea due to the COVID-19 restrictions. Member Loha is taking a break due to health issues however will return for their next comeback. Finally, member Sunshine sustained a leg injury. Although she is not performing the choreography, she is found in other parts of the MV and will participate in non-music show promotions.
