The talented singer from JYP Entertainment‘s survival show ‘SIXTEEN,’ Minyoung, has announced her leave from the company. On her Instagram, she said, “Hope everyone is doing well. This is Minyoung. I′ve left the agency where I was training.”
Minyoung became very popular during the show, and it was a suprise when she was eliminated. However, she assured her fans that she’s not giving up on her dream, she’s just moving to another agency where she can fit better.
She also wrote, “While I was at the agency, I wanted to communicate with the fans, but I was frustrated because I couldn′t. I wanted to say that I got all of the gifts you sent me. The pretty composition notebook with my name and Pisces drawn on it, the extra copies of manuscript paper, fabric deodorizer, perfume, the pretty accessories, the chocolate that took me two months to finish eating, handwritten letters, propolis, the cute stuffed animals (they′re on my bed) and the message book. I cried a lot looking at that.”
In the end, Minyong said, “Thank you so much. I got everything. And they were a great source of strength for me. To those who are thinking of me, I′m always thinking of you too. I don′t have anything to give you. But you can take the heart in the photo. ′Sixteen′ Minyoung.”
We must remember that many of our beloved idols were once part of JYP Entertainment and were able to become extremely famous after they left and signed with other companies, including 2NE1‘s CL and SISTAR‘s Hyorin. Fans even joke that if you become a trainee at JYP Entertainment and later debut with another company, you’ll surely become famous. We hope Minyoung can have the same destiny as some of those idols.
