On August 24th Kookmin Ilbo has reported that one of the remaining Chinese members of EXO, Huang Zi-tao, has officially raised a lawsuit against SM Entertainment with the Seoul Central District Court. It should come as no surprise that his legal representative is reported to be the same as of Luhan and Kris, who also left the group and filed lawsuits against SM Entertainment.
Tao’s departure from the group in April came as a sudden announcement of his failing health, stunning fans but making them worried for him and his future. However, he soon commenced solo activities in China, making his solo debut with the mini album titled, ‘Z.TAO’. The fans of EXO were confused and hurt by this turn of events and it seemed that his permanent departure from the group was all but confirmed. All remaining hope for a return to OT9 was lost when Zitao gave an interview in China and spoke about feeling alone without his family while training in Korea.
In response, SM Entertainment has immediately claimed to be responding with lawsuits and other legal methods at their disposal, suing him for what they claim are illegal activities both in China and Korea.
