TVXQ have made their long-awaited comeback to the K-pop scene with the release of their eighth studio album ‘New Chapter #1: The Chance of Love‘ and the title track ‘The Chance of Love‘.
It’s been three years since their last album ‘Rise As God‘ and even though we were re-introduced to Changmin (Max) and Yunho through solo releases late last year after their discharge from military service in South Korea, this is the comeback we’ve all been waiting for!
The title track from the album is ‘The Chance of Love‘. The track delivers a new rich and mature sound for the duo, although it does feel a little like a continuation of their previous singles ‘Something’ and ‘Spellbound‘. It’s a smooth and refined track which features swing-inspired instrumentals that are cut through with synths and pulsing, snapping beats and an undeniably sexy guitar riff. The beautifully produced song hangs together off the amazing vocals that could only come from TVXQ. They are, as you would expect, effortless and harmonious blending and slinking sexily through the song.
The accompanying music video is slick and filled with captivating visuals that only enhance the understated power and charisma of the song. The duo are seen performing their trademark powerful and intricate choreography with a troupe of dancers in the midst of a range of rich and lush sets which perfectly suit the tone of the track.
