A year and a half after their debut, Winner is coming back and they are making sure it is memorable. YG Entertainment released a teaser video for the 2016 project called ‘Exit Movement’.
Winner first debuted August of 2014 with ‘Color Ring’ and ‘Empty’. They released a full album ‘2014 S/S’ and went on to win numerous music show awards and end of the year awards for Best New Artist. Winner also went to Japan to promote ‘2014 S/S: Japanese Collection’ and have their first Japanese solo concert. After that, the group concentrated on solo activities: TaeHyun acted in 3 dramas; including a Chinese-Korean show ‘Under the Black Moonlight’; SeungYoon starred in ‘We Broke Up’ with label mate Daraof 2NE1, JinWoo also pursued acting for the Chinese-Korean drama ‘The Magical Cell Phone’; Mino went on ‘Show Me The Money 4’ where he placed second; SeungHoon was the only member who did not do anything publicly during their break.
In December, YG announced that Winner would finally have a comeback, but in much YG fashion, we are not sure what that entails. The ‘Exit Movement’ project looks amazing and Inner Circles are highly anticipating this concept. YG didn’t doing any promotion in a small fashion for 2015 and it seems that 2016 will be just as big.
Based on the images released on Winner’s official Facebook, the entry single ‘사랑가시 (PRICKED)’ will be released on January 11 at midnight KST and they will have a Naver countdown on January 10 one hour prior to release. According to one image, the first mini album will be released on February 1 and is labelled ‘EXIT: E’. There are three more dates to follow but only the year is given. Check out the promotion video below.
This idea feels a bit like Big Bang’s MADE series, but since Winner hasn’t had much exposure since 2014, I really hope this is a huge promotion for them. I already love the whole idea and can’t wait for it to come to light. What part of the teaser was your favourite? Let us know!
