Between the months of October and November, three of the hottest performers on K-POP’s music scene will battle it out in the box office with their leading roles. T.O.P will star in his most anticipated latest film, “The Commitment.”Lee Joon will star in his second film, “Rough Play” while Seo In Guk stars in, “No Breathing”.
In “Rough Play,” Lee Joon will play the role of Oh Young, an actor who gets his big break and allows fame to go to his head. Lee Joon’s last film was 2009 “Ninja Assassin” as a Young Rain’s character Raizo. Lee Joon discussed his role “The movie scenario was really fun. I also saw a lot of myself in Oh Young’s character, with his tenacity and passion for acting. I thought I could do a good job, so I insisted they give me the part.” When he spoke about preparing for his his role he said “I met with a lot of actors in their 20s for the part, and he seemed like he had the most passion and earnest desire for acting. If an actor has passion and an earnest desire, nothing can overcome that. He’s going to become a great actor.”
BigBangs T.O.P’s is no stranger to the big screen his has already starred in dramas such as “Iris” and “I Am Sam” as well as films such as “71:Into The Fire,” and “19.” In his latest role playing Lee Myung Hoon, a student from North Korea who is forced to go to South Korea to complete dangerous assignments in order to save his younger sister.
Seo In Guk is known for many of his roles such as “Reply 1997,” the MBC weekend drama “My Son” and his recently wrapped popular SBS drama “Master’s Sun.” In his latest “No Breathing,” In Guk is the first leading role. He plays a Won Il, a hermit swimming genius, who dreams of joining the national swimming team.
The box office showdown starts on October 24th with the scheduled release of “Rough Play” followed by “No Breathing” which will be release October 30th, and last but not least “The Commitment” on November 6th.
