The latest female duo Wings is definitely catching the audience’s attention. They’ve debuted this week with “Hair Short,” an eerie MV that really surprised the viewers.
Wings is formed by Yeseul and Nayoung. They are the first female duo under Sony Music Entertainment Korea and Dal&Byul Music. Their logo design was made by Busker Busker Kim Hyung Tae‘s media art studio PigRabbit.
Their name means that they’ll soar high into the sky and that their powerful vocal and controlled style will capture hearts of music fans, sending them soaring.
They debuted through Show Champion on March 12th, 2014.

Nayoung had been compared a lot to KARA‘s Jiyoung because of her appearence.
Yeseul:

- Date of Birth: August 29, 1990 (age 23)
Yeseul is studying applied music at Chugye University for the Arts. She was the main gril in Nashow‘s “Ballerina” (feat. Lady Jane) MV.
Music Video Review:
Wings came out of nowhere with their eerie video teaser and caught everyone by surprise. No one was expecting such a talented rookie duo, so their success was immediate.
Their MV tells the story of two twin sisters who live under a curse: no more how much they cut it, their hair will grow in their sleep until it reaches their feet. Onde day, their TV breakes and they call a guy (Ahn Jae-Hyun from “My Love from Another Star”) to fix it. The two sisters end up falling in love with the guy and they try to cut their hair short to attract him. They end up fealing jealous of each other, and in order to bring peace back to their house, they unite and decapitate the TV guys with the same scissors they use to cut their hair.
Well, this story isn’t really something you usually see in K-Pop videos, which is really inovating, but the thing that really caught everyone’s attention was the girls’ vocal potential. Once they debuted, many netizens talked about how they didn’t sound like rookies at all. With this combination of an awesome MV and amazing vocal abilities, they will sure be very sucessful.
