Woollim Entertainment‘s first girl-group, Lovelyz, had a successful debut late in 2014 with the song “Candy Jelly Love“. However, unfortunately one of the members, Jisoo, had to be left out of the live performances due to some controversies about her.
The rumors said that Jisoo had sexual relations with numerous women. She was also accused of sexual abuse, gossip and illegal photos of several girls. Many statements from the alleged “victims” spread on the internet, and the situation had to be taken to the court.
Jisoo not only was not able to debut with the group, but ended up at the hospital because of the malicious rumors had taken its toll on her and her body. The situation extended through December, and she was not able to perform on several award shows as well.
The situation seems to be settling down as it was announced that “The culprit, who spread malicious rumors about Seo Ji Soo, has already been sent to the prosecution on January 20.”
However, despite the resolutions, it looks like Jisoo is either not well enough to come back yet, or Woollim thinks it’s best to leave her out of the music scenario for a bit longer: the girls released a “coming soon” teaser for their first comeback, and it apparently shows only seven pairs of legs, hinting that maybe Jisoo will not be promoting this time either.
Seeing the pictures, many fans and media outlets begin to wonder if this meant a departure of Jisoo from the group, to which Woolim quickly pronounced, saying “It is true that Lovelyz are promoting as only 7 members without Seo Ji Soo… However, Seo Ji Soo has not left the group. She is set to take part in promotions with Lovelyz later on… Seo Ji Soo is currently focusing on practicing during her break… Although the date of her return has not been set yet, she has definitely not left the group.”
The company also revealed that the teaser was because of Lovelyz’s repackaged album scheduled for March, but fans still wonder why they couldn’t postpone the comeback in order to do it with Jisoo, since most of them are on her side.
We hope everything is fixed soon so we can see Jisoo and the other girls finally together onstage.
