In an attempt to expand its influence in China, SM Entertainment has joined forces with the country’s largest web portal site, Baidu.
Baidu has been around since 2000 and offers many services, such as search engines for images and videos. On May 8th, SM head Lee Soo Man met with Baidu’s CEO Robin Lee to seal their collaboration and sign the contract. Baidu will have control over distribution of SM’s music and videos in China, while helping to promote their artists’ activities. EXO-M was also present at this meeting, showing their support for the collaboration.
