On December 7th, WINNER rapper MINO dropped the music video to his newest title track, ‘TANG!♡’. This comes off his 3rd full album, ‘To Infinity.’ released simultaneously. With 10 tracks included, the album includes collaborations with people such as IKON‘s BOBBY and rapper Gaeko. The YG Entertainment artist has held off activities with the main group as members focus on solo activities and completing their military service. The artist last returned solo with his 2nd full album, ‘Take’ back in October last year with the hit title track, ‘Run Away’. Following the year, he’s back stronger than ever with this tune.
Lyrically, ‘TANG!♡’ discusses how someone is willing to spend as much money as possible to gain their lover’s interest. Making the money gun go ‘tang’, they try to impress and please their beloved no matter the latter’s opinion. The rapper’s nasal tone varies here from sing rapping to a packed rap heavy second verse, the Show Me The Money 4 runner-up showcases his quick and smooth flow as if the phrases are commonplace at that speed. The off beat pre-chorus and chorus at first may be jarring, however the groove settles fast once you’re in.

Watching the music video, we follow the singer try to impress the woman of his dreams. Entering a saloon, he catches the eye of a woman in a glittery dress. Sitting down, he reveals a limitless bank account behind his bedazzled jacket. With the riches to feed though, she nonchalantly walks out. Other men block his way, preventing their destinies to cross at that time. In sheer drive, he finds and tries again, however after repeated attempts, they all fail. Standing alone in the desert with a rosy path, the giant teddy bear, meant to serve as a gift to her burns as he falls into a breakdown. The final scene shows the ‘Fiancé’ singer sitting on a bed texting her saying he would like to meet and tell her something. Consequently, the video ends with her agreeing.
