NCT U reminisce about their past in evocative ‘From Home’ MV!

On October 19th, NCT‘s rotational unit, NCT U released the MV to their track, ‘From Home’. The song comes off NCT‘s 2nd full album, ‘NCT – The 2nd Album Resonance Pt. 1’. Check the MV out down below!

NCT U ‘FROM HOME’ MV:

Lyrically, the song looks over the group’s past, present and future. Looking at how their journey has come from their home, has led them to where they are now and what is to come. The R&B ballad is sung by members Taeil, Yuta, Kun, Doyoung, Renjun, Haechan and Chenle. Their vocals shine brightly throughout the track with soul-warming harmonies during the refrain. It accurately depicts the mood of reminiscence and has a hopeful sounding piano instrumental.

Watching the MV, it simply shows the group together enjoying each other’s presence. Transitioning between a sunny day at the beach and a sparse forest, they take photos with cameras by which the video occasionally switches its camera angle to whatever the members have shot, giving it a more intimate feel. We also see old pictures of the members when they were young as kids as they thank fans in different languages. The ending calmly displays the group once again smiling in a home setting, appreciating their company.

The track by which it is associated with, ‘NCT – The 2nd Album Resonance Pt. 1’ is the first part of the NCT 2020 project which features all members in the lineup from the sub-units (NCT 127, NCT U, NCT DREAM, WayV). This includes two new members joining the group through this album: Shotaro and Sungchan, bringing the total member count of the group to 23. The song also has a full English version within this album.
