MONSTA X‘s ‘Dramarama‘, as much as it was a great song, the MV itself was also great. Here we get to see the details that went on behind the scenes and the effort that went into making this MV.
The MV takes place in many different sets and locations, from the broad daylight car crash to the dusky back allies of the city. The number of locations they were able to explore was thanks to the concept of the MV that is time travel giving them unlimited possibilities.
We are first treated to the sights of coastal Korea with Kihyun and Jooheon which transitions into the car crash scene. This is also the same location where we see Hyungwon standing in the rain under his umbrella.
The car crash scene was filmed using a machine to flip the car in mid-air with Jooheon in it. He was then removed from the car so that another machine could grab the car and toss it violently down the road. An expensive but worthwhile process as in the MV it appears to be very realistic.
‘Dramarama’ Making Film
All of the scenes are shot with great detail and effects which explains why MONSTA X’s MVs are such a joy to watch. There is no questioning their acting either as their facial expressions capture their emotions well.
