Over the course between September 27th and 28th, BLACKPINK released five concept videos for their upcoming 1st full album, ‘The Album’. They include one teaser for each of the four members, plus a group video teaser. On the same day, they also released a title poster for their now confirmed title track, ‘Lovesick Girls’. Check out the videos and poster down below!
BLACKPINK ‘THE ALBUM’ CONCEPT VIDEOS + ‘LOVESICK GIRLS’ POSTER:
Throughout the teaser videos, we see all the girls roaming around at night in a car park. They all look dressed ready to kill with their visuals as the camera pans around them. There are intermittent bursting shots of light where we see the point of view of someone who is sitting inside a moving car looking out on to the night road. However those glimpses are overshadowed by the end where we see a slow-motion shot of the girls’ prepossessing looks. We also hear a reverberating synth at the end of each individual teaser that is expanded in the group video.
The group video similarly shows all the girls together at night, looking tired but then full of energy as they run and look free of any troubles. A pleasant guitar melody plays throughout over the synth which combined sounds like the pre-chorus of the title track as the beats quicken.
Moving on to the title track poster, we see the girls looking weary in the same outfits as the group video. Above, the title track is now confirmed to be ‘Lovesick Girls’ which many fans had already speculated. This was through the leaks of the tracks included in the album, as well as the file tags of the teaser pictures that were initially posted, hinting towards this name.
BLACKPINK‘s 1st full album, ‘The Album’ featuring the title track ‘Lovesick Girls’ will be released on October 2nd, 1PM KST!
