On December 13th, upcoming girl group KEP1ER released their third group concept photo for their debut EP, ‘FIRST IMPACT’. For the past couple weeks, the WAKEONE Entertainment formed act have released multiple concept photos teasing their landing. With individual and group teasers, the 9 members originally were supposed to debut on December 14th. However, one of the workers for the group contracted COVID-19, resulting in the members being tested and having to postpone the debut date. To the time of writing, all members are not showing symptoms and are well.
Hype for this nonet is massive coming off the internationally successful audition show, ‘Girls Planet 999’. Aimed at creating a global girl group with members from South Korea, Japan and China, the final lineup consists of Yujin, Mashiro, Xiaoting, Chaehyun, Dayeon, Hikaru, Huening Bahiyyih, Youngeun and Yeseo. The lineup was announced in the live finale of the show on October 22nd. Currently, the group are releasing weekly episodes of their pre-debut variety show, ‘Kep1er-view’ on M2‘s YouTube channel every Friday. Giving us a glimpse of the chemistry between the members, we also get a behind the scenes look of photoshoots for the album.
